The Victor Solar Powered Sonic Spike Mole Repeller is an outdoor device intended to discourage mole activity by transmitting periodic sound and vibration through the soil. A built-in solar panel charges the unit during daylight, reducing the need for disposable batteries. Performance depends on soil density, moisture, obstructions, placement, sunlight, and the size of the active tunnel area; vibration does not travel uniformly through every site.

Choose open ground with direct sun and locate active runs before installation. Make a pilot hole rather than hammering the housing, then seat the spike to the depth and orientation specified by the manufacturer. Do not place it where underground utilities, irrigation pipe, electrical cable, or hardscape could be damaged. Compacted or very dry soil may transmit pulses differently from moist, continuous soil, and walls or foundations can interrupt coverage. Check the solar surface for dust and shade, inspect the spike after mowing or storms, and allow time to evaluate changes in fresh tunnel activity. Combine the device with habitat correction, exclusion, or targeted trapping if burrowing continues.

Use Instructions

How to Use:

  • STEP 1-Use a wooden stake or steel rod to make a pilot hole prior to inserting the Solar Powered Sonic Spike™ into the ground.
  • STEP 2-Insert the spike until the bottom of the spike head begins touching the ground to prevent the chance of hitting it with a lawnmower or tripping on it.
  • STEP 3-To activate, slide switch to "ON".
  • STEP 4-Remove Solar Powered Sonic Spike™ when flooding may occur or before ground freezes.
