Cuban Mojito Spearmint (1 Gallon)

Cuban Mojito Spearmint (Mentha × villosa) is a certified organic perennial herb supplied in a one-gallon pot. Its vigorously spreading stems carry aromatic, softly textured leaves with the bright spearmint character traditionally used in mojitos, cold drinks, fruit dishes, syrups, and tea. Pale flower spikes appear in summer and add a lighter texture above the foliage.

This mint is listed for USDA Zones 5–9 and grows in partial sun, with brighter exposure possible where afternoon heat is moderate. It does not require chill hours or a pollinizer partner. Transplant at the same depth as the one-gallon root ball into soil that holds some moisture but drains after irrigation. Water thoroughly after planting and check the root zone regularly during establishment. Once rooted, adjust watering for heat, wind, container size, and rainfall; do not leave the pot or bed continuously saturated. Pinching the tips encourages branching, while cutting stems before or during early bloom keeps a supply of tender leaves. Remove wandering shoots if the planting needs a defined boundary.

Harvest clean stems with sharp scissors and leave enough foliage for regrowth. Young leaves generally provide the freshest flavor; flowering stems remain aromatic but can become firmer.
